Please join Ogeechee Audubon, Tuesday, April 21st, 7:00 PM.  LarryCarlile, from the Wildlife Management Branch at Fort Stewart, will present a program "Birds of Longleaf Pine ecosystems” highlighting the red-cockaded woodpecker.

Larry Carlile received a B.S. in Zoology and an M.S. in Forest Resources and Wildlife Management from the University of Georgia.  Larry began his wildlife management career at Tall

Timbers Research Station in northern Florida where he became interested in the conservation and management of longleaf pine/wiregrass ecosystems for the benefit of game, non-game,

and endangered species.  Larry has worked for the Army at the Fort Stewart Wildlife Management Branch since 1994 and is Chief of the Fish and Wildlife Branch's Planning and Monitoring

Section for game, fish, and threatened and endangered species.
